Our Shop MY COLLECTION
The Helvetia Rock Shop is located just west of Portland, Oregon in the small rural farming community of Helvetia. Surrounded by rolling hills, pine trees and small farms Helvetia means "Little Switzerland" which this peaceful and scenic area gives a glimpse of. You will often discover artists at work capturing the patterns and rich colors of the rolling farmlands, forests and country estates and contrasting skies.

At the end of a country lane nestled between farm fields you will find the Helvetia Rock Shop. Here away from the distraction and traffic of the city where we can focus on bringing out the best in lapidary materials and the best value in rocks and minerals for your collection.

The Helvetia Rock Shop is conveniently located between the Rice museum and the Helvetia Tavern which has been locally voted “best hamburger in Portland”. This makes the Helvetia Rock Shop one of 3 great places to visit while in Helvetia.

At the heart of the rock shop is a full line of lapidary equipment with capabilities to cut and polish all but the largest of rock specimens.

In addition to the lapidary shop the Helvetia Rock Shop has a large collection of rocks, fossils and minerals from the northwestern United States and from other popular collecting sites around the world. We offer both finished specimens and rough material. We specialize in agates, jaspers and petrified woods and have many fine examples of material from great northwestern United States collecting areas.

In addition to cutting and polishing the specimens that you will see here online, we offer custom cutting and polishing services to both collectors and dealers. We also offer cutting and installation of granite countertops if you are in the local Portland, OR area.

If you have any special interests or need help in understanding what we do and what we can provide please drop us an email of give a call to our business line.
