The arbor runs at a blistering 2200 r.p.m. delivering a sanding surface speed of 6900 feet per minute (f.p.m.) at the large 4” wide, 12” diameter Ultimate X-Panding Drum.  That’s over 78 miles per hour of rock sanding power!  Even at this incredible speed the sander quietly runs smooth and true.
The second powerful sanding tool is the Planarizing Disk.  This extreme duty 12 inch diameter, rigid flat platter type of sanding disk is made from cast aluminum.  When fitted with a 40 grit silicon carbide sand paper this tool goes to work quickly removing saw marks grinding your mineral's surface to perfect flatness.
The large diameter gives the operator plenty of sanding area and the ability to adjust the surface speed depending on the placement of the stone on the platter.  Hold the work piece closer to the platter center for slower speed getting faster sanding speeds near the edge of the platen.
	Built to last a lifetime the Ultimate is a commercial quality tool from the ground up.  The frame is a 1 piece welded aluminum channel that mounts solidly on your bench top or roll around cart.  The ultra sturdy 1-7/16 inch diameter arbor shaft is powered by a heavy duty, dual voltage, 1 H.P electric motor that is totally enclosed and runs at 3450 rpm.
